bringing it home with a warm and welcoming trade show marketing campaignSafety, a fair policy and a warm welcome: that’s what vdk bank, a socially responsible and sustainable bank in Belgium, offers all her clients. Which is precisely why they participated in the bis 2019 trade fair. The only bank at the fair, vdk bank was there to address families and individuals who fantasised about a new home, dressing room, solar panels, etc. At their cosy trade fair stand, visitors received customised advice on home loans and insurances alike. Our team was responsible for the creation of the marketing campaign and the activation of the target audience.
As the ‘bank for life’, vdk bank believes in trust and sustainable relationships, providing the best financial advice while never losing sight of personal contact. Through their participation in the bis 2019 trade fair they specifically aimed to help clients achieve the home of their dreams. They issued free tickets and were eager to invite visitors for a friendly chat at the fair. Our team was called on for the development of their trade fair stand and to help people find their way to it.

To reach the target audience, we launched a creative trade show marketing campaign on social media, with online ads, newsletters, via posters in the vdk bank offices and on their homepage, on ATMs, via the local football team, etc.

We further spread the message with an offline ad featuring in the local newspapers De Zondag en Visie and through targeted advertising on the online media channels of Roularta – a Belgian multimedia group. We also announced a giveaway trade show contest as an extra incentive: one lucky visitor to the vdk bank stand would win an exclusive housewarming party (fingerfood and drinks included!) valued at 500 euros.


To top off the campaign, we transformed their trade fair stand into a cosy housewarming party, where visitors came home to several vdk staff members for a piece of professional yet personal financial advice. We provided the stand design, construction, follow-up and catering, and even developed an online application where visitors could register for the contest. In short: we took care of the entire organisation from A to Z.

The results? Approximately 600 visitors took part in the giveaway contest and the number of appointments at the trade fair reached a whole new record. vdk bank succeeded in its mission to help clients in East and West Flanders achieve the home of their dreams.
